WHERE THE DEAD SOULS GO
our days are numbered, our life is short
why kill a brother for something that can be bought
a shortcut brings miseries
I pray God don’t forgive you even if you use the rosary
peak insanity is the new norms
we smile as we watch the city burns
so long it profits my dear
tell me why I should care
unrelated, the world harbors too much hate
but religion preaches we should have faith
can someone explain to me what is my fate?
I ain’t going nowhere, I’ll wait
a repulsive comment to build a balance
coupled for unknown alliance
tell me where the wind blows?
or where the dead souls go
they growl from the grave in pains
bound by hardcore chains
forever indebted to agony
a cozy spot… an irony
an infinitesimal care averts much
a suicidal soul needs a brunch
life is tough, humanity is insane
death falls on us everyday like a rain

This reads like social commentary wrapped in poetry. The poem questions morality, religion, emotional numbness, and society’s growing indifference in a very striking way. There’s anger in it, but also truth. Strong piece.” Joshstitches
