DAFFODILS AND PEARLS

 

the world is in it’s docile phase 

each heart deciding what stays 

trust slips away in a blink 

betrayal will never go extinct 

a simple pat on the shoulder breeds caution 

hatred has been in extension 

people hate what people do to people 

nobody wants to be blamed, it’s that simple 

real priorities has been shifted 

hatred to the heart has been knitted 

a curse is better than this breathe 

everyone is chasing after wealth 

waters are now too shallow for us to stay afloat 

we all want to be captain of the same boat 

no foresight, no destination 

just pride, pain, selfishness and determination 

we, an element of no substantial importance 

we self-destruct with our utterance 

bickering bigots with perilous intent 

glorifying madness in detrimental pretense  

a paradigm shift from focus 

we are estranged by hocus pocus 

daffodils and pearls 

our life is under a cursed spell
