SOONER OR LATER

 

life offers not freedom, but betrayal 

whatever you’ve done 

sooner or later, it will come back to you 

it will boomerang 

and surely latch at your doorstep 

it awaits, watching like the eye of the eagle 

waiting patiently for the best time to strike 

coming with reckoning and judgment 

and you shall never escape 

for you are culpable

it is your dessert, your undeniable favorite 

savor it all even without appetite 

your body frowns at it but your soul knows 

that you deserve more than this torture 

you are a terrible being and must be dealt with 

for it has come for you in particular 

your deeds has finally knocked 

do not seek pity and penance 

for once upon a time, you basked in joy 

why brooding now and seeking help?

sooner or later, it will come for us all 

judgement, death and all his kinsmen 

marching into the city to reap souls 

harvesting without conscience and guilty 

for they have arrived, and their will must prevail
