WAKE ME UP WHEN I’M GONE
wake me up to a soft song
not to a loud bell in ding dong
I’ve tried in this life, I swear I have
nothing else is funny to make me laugh
wake me up subtly from my sleep
my lucid dreams have gone too deep
soft tap me so I don jerk with migraine
my life’s force is slowly going down the drain
wake me up with a frightening stare
a replica of my nightmare
reality is slowly draining into a loop
smeared on me like a splash from a soup
wake me up to sounds of rushing water
eyes open in a canyon, I really don’t bother
in nature’s bosom we find eternal peace
all my pains and sorrows be released
wake me up no more
for my body is tired and sore
the world knows nothing but pain
my celestial prowess has been drained
wake me up not
how lovely would it be if I go nut
life is for rent and this I know
leave me hanging, let my boat row
wake me when I’m gone to the world beyond
where sins are never observed for too long
a place I shed no tear for death and misfortune
where joy and laughter rends the sky all through
