YOU ARE ENOUGH

 

suddenly you lost yourself 

tides and waves tossing you about 

pressures bowing your head in bow 

sew a garment of shame for you 

the constantly feeling of no progress 

stagnancy flows with your heart beat 

the air of failure resides in your lungs 

palpitations beats lullaby to rock you sleep 

you feel less of yourself always 

getting up from bed feels like mission impossible 

constant fear of being scorned outside 

the fear of dying is greater than death itself 

but why forget what you’re made of

you forgot you are built like the Chinese bamboo 

why nurse all these irrational fears 

battles already conquered makes you quiver 

someone out there prays for you 

multitude wants to be like you 

you are blessed beyond your thoughts 

a bag of dreams, that’s what you are 

never forget that you are enough 

born unique and destined with purposes 

anytime you feel blue and down 

always remember “there can never be another you”
