I JUST WON’T

 

it is a dead world

a beautiful habitat housing fools and foes alike 

do we deserve this breathe?

we don’t deserve this span

hunger and terror has become the order of the day 

tortures and pain becomes a gain say 

but we were told to bother less and pray

that that is the only solution as a prey 

the little flame of love left they try to extinguish 

making us feel like no victor no vanquish 

all you have to do is panic and wish 

that a messiah is on the way with vex and a switch 

you are compelled to live a life of love 

show compassion still even if it’s tough and rough 

“be merciful to the merciless” they say 

isn’t that my choice if I may

but I won’t give up despite it all 

if it’s love I’ve got to give, I’ll give it all 

be the light you want to see in someone 

we all can light up the world with pure love
