SUBCONSCIOUSNESS

In my subconscious I reflect tales and lies I’ve been told

blabbered tongues just to wound my soul

the world cares not if you bleed

it’s left to you to take heed with speed

my reflection in the mirror mocks me

unapologetically laughs and frown still

an ensnared feast set before my eyes

waiting for me to gullibly cast the dice

repugnant cheers to frail my existence

discorded tunes for my soul to waltz in dance

those echoes resounds in my head

a terrible path I dread

my subconscious kicks a restart

but I’m airless like a motionless dart

yet still, I can’t take a break from reality

can’t breathe, too much toxicity

  1. Loved the phrase
Looking in the mirror my reflection laughs at me....
It has a very deep meaning and a sense of hopelessness and guilt. Yeah, the world is rough and the only persons we have are ourselves
If you cannot be by yourself, who can be for you. And being for yourself, what are you?

  2. You’re so correct, at the end of the day, you are left with yourself
