PURSUIT

 

the human wants and it’s insatiability 

lust and madness profound 

forgetting to truly live  

reprimanding the true essence of our existence 

the pursuit of sanity 

fighting for just your own mental balance 

feeling unwanted in a bower

you are the damage done to yourself 

the pursuit of happiness 

aiming consistently for self satisfaction 

forgetting the warmth you’ve left behind 

at the end, you’d sit down and regret 

the pursuit of revenge 

believing forgiveness is a sin 

keep it up, you’re almost close to your target 

what if the person was you 

the pursuit of goals 

walking briskly just to blow 

when nature pricks your health 

then you’d start to count losses 

the pursuit of beauty 

constantly feeling you are never enough 

readily chasing detrimental results 

your body is your body, flame it up
