CAUTIONARY TALES

 

they come in glitters 

bringing all you crave for 

be careful how you do your bidding

hatred is giving, love is hidden 

for your life, they are coming for 

remember to fortify your fortress 

they pat you at the back with thorny hand

It pierces your flesh like a fang 

people only love you when it is beneficial 

send you post cards just to make it official 

if their true intentions are revealed 

you might not still believe 

this is cautionary tale to us all 

take heed before you slip and fall 

Amanda told me she was smarter 

so sad, she left this world bruised and battered 

at some point you need to apply wisdom 

even if you’re in lover’s bosom 

the leech have two daughters namely ‘give and give’

most people wanna take, nobody wants to give 

be mindful of who you deal with
