TV IS ON

 

with a little touch of pain 

dawn of reality sets on us 

our lives starts to project another meaning 

all colors becomes tainted 

pain is inevitable they say 

a rite we all must experience no matter how small 

a guiding tutor who wakens our senses 

it either makes you or mar you 

we become larger than life or regress 

slowly withdrawing back into our shells 

lessons regrettably learnt the hard way 

you’ll never remain the same if you survive it 

immobile, you will stay always 

carefully analyzing people’s movements 

even if their intentions are pure towards you 

psychologically, your protective gear is worn 

we are switched on always 

our tv is on on high alertness 

people watch us but hardly comprehend

we only project the program of hostility
