I NO LONGER SEE COLORS

 

I no longer see colors 

in this cubicle you call world 

it’s green has long turned hue 

love has long dropped dead 

I no longer see colors 

in the heart of men 

darkness of greed and selfishness is hovering 

humanity cries, everyone is on headsets 

I no longer see colors 

in the eyes of people aside babies 

cause they are freshly baked from heaven 

little by little they lose their wings 

I no longer see colors 

in-between families and blood

the forbidden fruit really wrecked havoc 

blood is no longer thicker than water 

I no longer see colors 

relationship is now a bore 

lies, cheats, games and wannabes 

cohabitation is now preferred 

I no longer see colors 

the street no longer preaches love 

dem say “no padi padi for jungle”

“kill or be killed” is now the mantra 

I no longer see colors 

no justice amongst the judiciary 

the future of millions hangs by a thread 

Africa is in trouble
