THE BOUT

 

he didn’t see it coming 

the punch came when he least expected it 

despite all his guard 

it sent him three steps backwards 

he tried regaining his stance 

kinda hard for him to balance 

as soon as his pivot hit it’s spot 

he was back in the sport 

continuous swaying and dodging helped him save energy

his mind is back, that will save him from elegy 

he made sure his focus is strong 

eyes fixed on weak point, he calms not to do it wrong 

despite the noise around the ring 

his focus fixed, he tries not to blink 

for in a twinkle of an eye, you might be knocked out 

this was his last hope, he mustn’t be called clout 

his opponent keeps charging still 

but him, he was careful so as not to taint the deal 

he really needs this win a lot 

nothing is important to him than this bout 

in few seconds, he discovers a loophole 

opponent’s left hand does not fold 

this is the only opportunity he has 

a counter hit if he can do it fast 

with a left hand swing from the opponent 

he countered with his right hand by hitting the belt

his opponent bend in response to the counter attack 

immediately he sent a good punch to the left hand flank 

a good counter which sent him sprawling on the floor 

but he was ready to dish him more 

a good fight he gave using wisdom 

a great achievement to fathom
