MANY ROADS
the journey of humans
our hopes in whatever we believe in
fortunes smiles sometimes on us
so many windy roads
stormy as weather vane breaks
so cold we almost get frostbite
nasty jackets to warm up our heart
not all smiles are glittering
never rely on the promises of another
we heal, stab, maim and rip hearts out
it’s in our nature, we are beast
many dangerous roads
leading to our demise even when we don’t deserve to die
play nice or play dead
death is inevitable, a debt we owe to the soil
a smooth road for ships to sail
ships might even fly if wishes were granted
anchor so tiny, but holds as fortress
a helm so infinitesimal but is the master of the ship
ceteris paribus
a clause we should inscribe on our hearts
memento mori a guide
boldly written on our palms as reminder
