IT SHALL PASS

 

when you’re lost in your life 

seated almost all the time brooding 

and the road seems rugged and rough 

just keep calm, it shall pass 

when the pain of yesteryears still fresh 

your mind always befuddled with thoughts 

although it is your past, and you’ve forgiven yourself 

don’t worry, it shall pass 

seated in darkness and crying 

no matter how you’ll explain, no one can understand 

the pain is just yours and yours alone 

don’t worry, it shall pass 

you’re staring at the knife and the noose

thinking which one would make the pain painless 

why not take a second thought and think deep

remember always, it shall pass 

because you’re rejected among your peers you feel sad

why give in so much to peer pressure 

even if you’ve forgotten the great destiny you posses 

get yourself together, it shall pass 

when you find others succeeding and you aren’t 

you’re above age and others are married 

why feel bad, everyone has got his timing 

just relax, that phase will pass
