OUR HABITAT
the most beautiful place that harbors wickedness of human
a world turned to terror, pieces and war
Insane animals calling the shots
to snuff a soul becomes a hobby
cries of the downtrodden becomes acapella
innocent skulls used to mark territories
fragile hands wields weapons
Somalian children breathing and sleeping on gun powders
leaders settling grudges with bloodshed
fathers selling their offsprings just to feed
pregnant women wishing they had closed their legs
carrying a baby and dragging a bag at the same time won’t make fleeing faster
sleeping at night with one eye opened
clutching unto clubs for fear of defense
hating the darkness for fear of been lynched
praying to see the next day because of light
Corpses litter the whole street like decorations
no one buries anybody cause there’s no time
everyone processing how to survive that day
the next day will take care of itself if you’re alive to witness it
nowhere to run, no place to hide
when will peace come, government will decide
we’ve lost too many loved ones, no time to cry
show no weakness unless you want to die
a world of pain, terror and anguish
a habitat of insanity, cruelty and animality
no mortal, no one is promised tomorrow
tomorrow never comes, tomorrow is a mirage
