A RANDOM ACT OF KINDNESS

 

to lend a helping hand always 

holding firm a drowning hand 

giving tight hugs when called for 

a quick pat at the back when needed

to give your cloak to the naked 

build a long table instead of a long fence 

gather the less privileged and the destitute 

share a cup of water with love 

to light up an already off candle 

share a snack with a random stranger 

smile to a soul in a pouring rain 

bandage a foot with injury 

to stand firm and fight for human rights 

help carry a bag so it won’t drag 

pull open your umbrella just to shade someone 

warm up someone’s cold tea 

check up on an old friend with voice calls

send random gift to a neighbour 

give an extra tip for a service rendered 

smile at a waiter and wink at the janitor 

forehead kisses to your loved ones 

making others laugh till their stomach hurts

caring still for people who broke your heart 

praying for your enemies
