LIES

 

the lies we’ve been told 

the terrible things that has made us bold 

shits that has made our humanity cold 

envy and jealousy has grown with us in mould 

lies told about religion

just to make us docile and numbed skulls

preachers preaching just to enrich themselves 

ignoring verses in the holy book that speaks the truth 

the lies birthed with us is grim 

telling us how to live our lives and breathe 

no one was born with a name and a stamped religion 

human made all these possible due to selfishness 

we were created to flow with nature’s rhythm 

live our lives with ease like the stream 

flaunt our nakedness in the sky like fireflies 

dance in the dark like carefree ripples

lie upon lies has made us docile 

living everyday and feeding on man made laws 

if we don’t retrace our steps and learn from Mother Nature 

humanity is on the verge of extinction
