YOU HAVE YOURSELF TO BLAME

 

you said you have dreams

goals and ambitions that will flow like streams

which will become a fountain for others to swim

but you sleep all day and snore all night 

you have yourself to blame 

opportunities here and there 

a platform others are craving for in tears 

wicked soul, you know they need it so dear 

but you aren’t bothered, seems not to care 

you have yourself to blame 

others wake up to hustle 

toiling and sweating just to mass it all up in bundle

spending less and ignoring bubbles 

but here you are sleeping in cuddles

you have yourself to blame 

you vent anger always on the innocent 

yet still you have no money, not even a cent 

you jive about smelling nice with a good scent 

meanwhile, money is due, you’re yet to pay rent 

you have yourself to blame
