we look really happy 

lots of things we cannot explain 

bitter tears behind beautiful smiles

my brother looks handsome 

don't be deceived by his smile

he has received lots of blows from his peers  because he refused join the gang

my sister looks beautiful

with her long curly natural hair 

no one knows the sexual assault from our uncle

it's a shame she cries but no one sees the tears

dad looks cheerful and bright 

he's been underpaid amongst his colleagues 

but he couldn't quit despite his emerse contributions

illiteracy is a cankerworm

momma looks radiant 

her pain is deeper than any depth

over the years she regrets saying "I do"

for she married the one she loved not

i look giddy with joy

my case isn't the worst I guess

my family have so much hope in hopeless me

I'm just a waste of birth, my days are numbered
