IT TAKES A VILLAGE

it's not one person's duty

it takes a whole village 

to straighten the mind of a child

illuminating his path to morals

it takes a whole community 

to inculcate ethics and ethos

preparing the child's mind for the future 

waking up his subconscious

it takes a clan

to shaping the thoughts of their infants

aligning his ideology

setting his feet aright 

it takes a family 

to nurture their babe with love 

shower him/her with solid affections 

in other not to go astray 

it takes a peer

to grow up together singing folklores

knowing tales of their great ancestors 

trying to emulate their resonance 

it takes a child 

to assimilate his/her culture 

having a deep knowledge of his culture and beauty 

fully prepared to colour the world
