THE WAR WITHIN

who do I tell?

who cares to know 

of the battles and wars I fight within

wars capable of consuming my own soul

everyday I battle on

emotions and thoughts within me

so weighty and pulling me down 

I conquer every seconds to stay sane 

insanity already cuddling me

depression always consoling me

palpitations playing nano seconds 

mental heat boils my psyche 

the red earth 

calling me to come rest 

a cosy duvet 

voicing a requiem against my demise 

but the air around me 

blowing and howling 

chilling my senses with vibes 

giving me morales to keep hopes high 

but who do I tell?

who cares to know
