INSIPID

they say "no guts, no glory"

but all that is story 

this life houses nothing 

in the end, everything will lie rotten

either you're cruel or nice 

or you stand rigid like dice

you are competent or incompetent

try as much as possible to repent 

the proud looks down on the humble

every poor man hustles like royal rumble

no matter how fine your cloak is 

the jealous will still look at you and hiss 

"you have no true friend" they say

cut everyone off with no delay

even your shadow abandons you in the dark

mourn always, even if you are not wearing black

we are all insipient

cognitive dissonance in insipience 

the insipidity of life

no one gets out of life alive
