ANCHORED HEART

she showed you all the love you deserve

she even mentioned how fragile her heart was

reiterate how many times she had fell victim

of sweet-torned lips

opened up her sealed walls for you to come in

gave you all the access she once locked

entrusting you will her already cracked heart

believing you will soothe her pains

but you showed her love

took her down the path she had never walked

proved to her how much you yearn for her

but in the end, what became of it?

worse than usurper

for you finally rendered her heart to pieces

leaving behind no fragment

proudly, you walked away from her

with no ounce of pity

sitting among your colleagues

beating your chest with pride

now she has anchored her heart

never to have feelings again
