our mental state is transforming 

becoming that which ought not to become

we have endured this for too long

the suffering lurks in our spine 

you've successfully created a monster

woken up the beast in us

no matter how we try to tame ourselves now 

humanity will pay from this 

we said "no", you yelled "yes"

we chorused "e dey choke", you say "e never reach"

we sleep at night with empty bellies 

I'm certain my worms have already feasted on my intestines 

we now swim in pains and abject poverty

we, children of wealth and bountiful harvest

milk and honey flows without tilling our soils

but here we are, drought is our surname

hope you've stopped sleeping with both eyes closed?

as cold as your air conditioner is, you still sweat

hope your hypnic jerk is worse than defibrillator

your snores on mute

karma has taken up arms with us

we're rolling kegs of gun powder to your door steps

though the blast will result with us being casualties 

there's no revolution without bloodshed
