THE ENEMY WITHIN

Some people are not your friend

they are just scared to be your enemy

they see you as a threat 

you are just too sweet to be discarded 

they mass up in numbers 

backbiting and making you topic of discussion

but once you are conspicuous from afar

they put up a heavenly smile

sweet words chorused in your presence 

truncating you at your absence

becareful who you trust 

millions have been sent to the moon

such friends knows your relevance

but they feel you are too good to be true 

they constantly plot your downfall

if you call this a lie, your boat is heading for the rocks

in their faces, you amount to nothing 

although they know the truth 

they know how your light radiates their darkness 

but jealousy is a heart riper

it won't bid farewell until it's mission is accomplished
