CRY FOR THE LIVING

it is the living

the living that needs the tears 

the dead had gone to rest in peace 

hopeless to rise no more 

the living needs pity 

pity of what their end might be

would you smile or lay waste with regrets 

when your life flashes before your eyes 

what are your current deeds?

what have you to show for?

have you served humanity right?

would you be triumphant when walking in your white robes?

most people ignore their end

they are so much carried away and distracted 

forgetting to live a life of purpose

weep for yourself if you're on the lost course

cry while still alive

strive to live a fulfilled live 

so when you draw your last breathe 

people will cheer as you are lowered six feet
