FIREFLIES

so beautiful and so free

so carefree and so lit

they glide all night 

lighten up the sky

fulfilling nature's call 

they illuminate your path

brighten up your steps 

guiding your feet as it strokes 

along the green grass 

as you find your way through the dark

their love is pure

for they fly towards you 

coming for a hug in that dark

totally harmless and illuminous

they lead you aright no matter what 

harm them not

they are the most beautiful insect

living in their own artistic world

with selfless love and peace

contributing it's own quota for humanity
