I DREAMT IN A DREAM

it was blurry when I saw her

But on getting close, my vision cleared but she looked sad

She told me she was walking down the park with her sons and husband

Then all of a sudden, they disappeared

The twins were playing in the yard

Chasing each other with water guns

One shot the other in the face

He fell and died instantly

They both kissed goodnight and cuddled

A long cold night under the duvet

Winter weather dropped to a minus

Power surge switches off heater, they froze to death in their sleep

Grandma was a very good old lady

But she insisted she wants to purchase the items from the market

Slowly walking down the road counting steps

That was the last time we saw her, her body never returned

They chorused "for better for worse" at the alter

A vibrant military husband just too handsome

The next day, he was on a mission to North

Boko Haram ripped him in pieces

He took the wrong route that night

Never knew there was an ongoing robbery

He was shot instantly without mercy

The school team goal keeper saved all the opponent's shot

They cheer him because he lead them to a penalty shoot out

He over stretch in diving just to save the only ball to pronounce them winner

He caught the ball but landed wrongly

Only to realize he can no longer move, spine gone

She has been in labour for 12 hours now

They begged her to consider CS due to prolonged labour

She finally agrees and they cut her open

Baby dead already, choked by a cord

Mother died after been told the news

A reckless driver picks up passengers

Over speeding as he maneuvers while overtaking

Passengers yell at him but he was adamant

A tyre flew off right on a pothole impact

Bus dived into a ditch

Crimson colored the yellow bus

  

All was a dream

That i dreamt in a dream
