BLINK

It blinks, yes it does
Once your life flashes before your eyes
It comes as a blink
"In a blink of an eye, you're gone"

So tell me, sorry! I mean, tell us
Why hoard those wealth?
Why hating that fellow?
Why trampling on people?

Oh! Probably you think you will be here forever
Wait, is forever not too much, don't you think?
When at the age of 80
You are already becoming a vegetable

Your skin already in wrinkles
Your breast already sagged
Your eyes almost losing vision
Your steps already wobbling

Wheelchairs and clutches becomes your crony
Yours steps becomes ordered like arithmetics
If you're lucky, your dentition is intact
But if not, a goal post in sight

If you fear these changes, why being mean?
Why cutting ropes instead of building bridges
Ropes they ought to use in climbing
You keep burning ladders and bridges for human

Even if you respect no one
Why not consider death, Hades
The grim reaper and his scythe
His harvesting method, the torture and indescribable pain

Oh! Probably you think you will live forever
Igba wo ni maku oniku
Someday, your lungs/heart will give up
Then your wealth will prove useless

Then your life will flash before your eyes
Regrets will fully overwhelm you as you blink slowly
Mother nature will whisper to you
"Six feets awaits you my manure"
Cankerworms in full regalia will party on fresh dinner

NB: "M M" (Momento Mori) is written at the palm of our hands
Meaning (remember you must die)
