THESE LITTLE THINGS

Those little things we do

That we don't take cognisance of

Goes a long way to humanity

Strikes a cord in the depth of their soul

Making them feel loved and strengthen their core

It either makes them yearn more for life

Or maim them

Just be careful of the energy you radiate

It may bring the best out of someone

Or snuff his life 

That little touch you gave

That little wink you threw

That like hug you shared

Made that heart rethink its hurtful decision

To either quit in life or hurt someone

That cute little text you sent

That "hi" and "I care" you sent

Had saved a life you might not know

For time will tell

Or you might not even know

I once had a sit out with someone

And we spoke deeply at length

When I returned home, I texted

"Your kind is rear.....would love to do this again"

Then she texted back

"Never knew I was worth much to someone"

Those words you hold back

Those feelings you don't reciprocate

Those "hi" you don't return

 They go a long way to humanity

Never hold back these little things
