WE WERE ONCE FREE
We were once free
Yes, totally free
Living a carefree life from hate and struggles
Adrenalines pumping like bubbles
Running from pillar to post in the compound
Using all tin cans to make a sound
Gathering sands to a foot to build castles
Dropping waxes in water from candles
Piloting a plane with imagination
Sailing paper boats in an erosion
Shooting paper bullets with a rubber
Riding wheels on the road with a paint cover
Preparing meals with leaves in a can
Eating it with your chin if you can
Waiting for 4pm for cartoon to start
Biker mice pops up as special rat
Walking a terrible distance to school
Eating fruits on the way back home like fool
Looking worn out with torn socks on the feet
Creeping to the pot to steal a meat
Dig up clays to make a family
Mould them nice, gently and tenderly
Friends calls you over to play with their toys
If you're stingy, you'll get beating by boys
Every Friday, we love school the most
Cause weekends we eat bread in toast
We were once free like the wild west wind
Maturity takes it all away like a dream
