NIGHT HAS FALLEN
darkness has ascended the throne
the world now goes quiet and alone
the sun has once again been dethroned
the moon stands rigid like a stone
night has fallen once more
too much in my head, loud folklore
my mind still restless, my brain
my thoughts crippled, I feel like it’s a maim
my bed feels thorny and biting
an unusual hand presses me down and it’s mighty
an helpless and detrimental sleep paralysis
this weird feeling, no need for analysis
all nights brings me sorrow
even if I hide under the bed to stay low
pains and regrets hovers below my roof
my legs are rigid, I need to move
darkness, an harbinger of pain
leaving me void and constraint
I know not who bestowed me this hell
I’ve asked, yet still, no one will tell
night has fallen, leaving me in shame
this state of mine, no one to blame
I longed for suns and only daylights
so my pains can be far off like kites
