AFRICA BURNS

 

Africa burns while you snore 

bodies litters its banks and shore

the wicked sleeps not at night 

as leaders, they fly their genocide kite 

I questioned my existence because of you 

how you constantly make us feel like a fool

the gallows is where your head belong 

you can’t fool us for long 

a fool at a cursed age still wants to rule 

the seats has been turned to family tool 

aged, senile and unwise animals 

destroying our futures like cannibals

“vote me, i am capable” they chorus 

as soon as they mount, they lose focus 

repugnant pest and blood sucking leeches 

they don’t care if the future glitches 

daylight robbery without shame 

play dirty in politics and tell you it is the game 

when are we going to castrate these people? 

they need to be popped out like pimple 

they burn the whole nation and call it fun 

smile at the bank while you mourn 

murderous monsters we call leaders 

readily selling resources to the highest bidders 

Africa burns, Nigeria is cursed 

our pain and suffering is up on a hoist 

a terrible continent God is not aware of 

our sanity has faded like a puff 

a mass burial for our leaders 

certified and glorified killers 

the devil is truly an apprentice in Africa 

“burn them all” should be our mantra
