BORN TO REIGN

 

I was told it wasn’t my turn 

I wouldn’t align with the status quo 

that a statuette that I am 

but my chi fueled my ego to boost 

countlessly they sought me 

guarding heavily so I won’t be unleashed 

but uneasy lies the head that wears the crown 

I plunged out like a canon shot to pierce 

they became flabbergasted 

for the source of my strength is unknown

my existence was once foretold 

they couldn’t put off the oil lamp easily 

I am here, born to reign and dominate 

to inscribe love on the hearts of the broken 

spark up the flame of redemption for all

I am that I am is with me

in the wild they still sought me 

trying to dim my light with their claws and concoctions 

a chosen already marked for exploit 

I am here now, let the world marvel
