HARSH REALITIES

 

some of us are strangers still 

this world ought not to shelter us

sanity is a blessing if you’ve got it 

we are all just bunch of insane walking corpse 

we are mortals 

never immune to death 

for we walk in it’s midst each day 

believing we are overcomer

our skin is laced with greed, hatred and lies 

we wear deceit like a cloak 

a awful garment of stained purity 

we don’t deserve this gift called “breathe” 

we’ve plough the earth too much 

abused its gift and beauties 

cut short the expectancy of the sea

reduced its span and above all, pollute it 

we are sick, yeah, humanity is sick 

swimming always in our own puke 

yet we believe we are trying our best 

nature’s revenge is at hand 

God once regretted he created man 

I hope we all can see through his lens now
