RIGHT THROUGH MY EYE

 

innocency bleeds without cause 

nobody wants to take a second to pause 

humanity scavenges like all hope is lost 

the die has been cast 

the show isn’t going to last 

in my eyes 

I see people laughing in a labour room 

no one is rejoicing with the bride and groom

a father shoots his son in defense 

no one is ready to see this world through nature’s lens 

still in my eyes

people recording emergencies and help not 

military bombarding innocent citizens as they go nuts

corruption has become the mantra these days 

our knees are hurting, we’re tired to pray 

in my eye

generations have lost their purposes 

people laughing at someone with scoliosis 

a boy recently murdered his mother for rituals 

the church only sees his money then made him mutual 

through my eyes 

I see the whole world burning 

engulfing inferno and huge conflagration 

but guess what baffles me?

no one is on the run
