I AM EXONORATED

 

we are exonerated 

when we wake up from these idiosyncrasies 

fallacies and dirging mantras 

then realize they were just opiums 

meant to officially make us docile 

he is exonerated 

when he’s no longer a slave to alarms 

built and carved a niche for himself 

standing out from the crowd 

becoming a man of substance 

she’s exonerated

when she no longer sees relationships as tragic

an obligation and not a financial usurper 

then she’s truly free and qualified to live 

breathing with pride and prudence 

they are exonerated 

when they no longer wake up to fear of the night 

latching at the edge of darkness because of it’s reflection 

pulling themselves aways from its puppetry acts

they refuse to be stringed marionettes 

I’m exonerated 

when I no longer share principles and ideologies that begets 

sickness, pains, death and strives 

in the most profound ways beyond human comprehension 

I’m exonerated 

from the bloodless foes we call friends 

dream-like chases in echoes 

sounds resounding in my head like insanity 

a terrible dream we all can’t wake up from
