WE HAVE TRIED

 

our eyes needs not to see the writings on the wall 

our feet does not need to go the extra mile again 

our ears needs not hear morales again

let’s keep silent and just stare 

we’ve been strong for too long 

hoped for years and all were bashed 

If we give up now 

we know we have tried 

we’ve believed in prophecies 

either false or truth told, we believed 

raised our hands up in hallelujah 

we so much believed that the messiah is come 

different tongues, different patterns 

talked us through over and over 

selling to us insane philosophies and cajoles 

‘yes, yes’ we nod in believe 

cold shivers surges round our bodies 

nursing insanities in our minds, tagging it faith 

holding our chins high and looking up to heavens 

clouds forming shapes and patterns on us 

look at us now

generations have come and go 

the same belief has been passed down over and over 

If we give up now… we know we have tried
