PICK YOUR POISON

 

life is full of struggles we all know 

tensions are everywhere try not to bow

you’ve tried cause you’ve been strong for too long 

never stop waking up to the sound of the gong 

hustling and hustling we keep striving 

an idle mind makes his heart his hiding 

it’s ain’t easy out there for anyone 

even the wicked is always on the run 

pat yourself at the back and say 

“I’ve come a long way, no one can tell me nay”

“the road’s so long but I will push still”

“I won’t relent even if it provides just one meal”

stand firm and strong in your daily pulls

stay strong and charge always like a bull

no one has the manual of how to play life’s charade 

just be strong and stand firm in the parade 

we all get tired sometimes we all know 

it’s normal for your body battery to become low 

if you get to your last and you feel there’s no need to keep pushing 

pick your poison and die honorably
