WISH IT COULD LAST FOREVER

 

it’s the good moment

unrelated fun in motion 

the smiles and happiness you radiate 

loneliness and boredom you eradicate

we thought we had it all

that time will forever pause for us 

believing we would grow up and grow old 

till our skin wrinkles in colorful patterns 

picturing our hairs turning golden 

our once upon a time beautiful dentition becomes ruined

built muscles becomes sagged 

our feet won’t be able to jog miles anymore  

we prayed to prove them wrong 

that twenty friends can play for twenty years 

that we would upload all our pictures as meaningful throwbacks

we would then laugh at ourselves with doctor’s prescriptions 

I wish it can last forever

our aspirations just for proves unsolicited 

but here I am celebrating more death-days 

all for you, dead and gone
