DON’T

I’m sorry you are feeling blue 

those feelings are actually true 

the world has derailed from its original tracks 

our hearts are filled with cracks 

love is now transactional 

staying alive is now optional 

no one sees the beauty of nature anymore 

everybody wants to take, everyone wants more 

the eyes of a peregrine falcon sees from a distance 

the prey’s death comes in an instance 

selfishness has sew us all a garment 

all our deeds now are channeled to the internet 

don’t fly when you are meant to walk 

don’t open your lips if you aren’t suppose to talk

for sorrows begets more sorrows 

regrets rings its bell before tomorrow 

don’t sit on tables that lack empathy 

be careful the gatherings and even a party 

intentions are not visible in countenances 

there are self rules, even ordinances 

don’t celebrate too early before it’s over 

be careful with your speech when you are pulled-over 

fortunes smiles but foolishness prevails 

humanity has been covered with veil
