THE CHOSEN KEY

 

joy within, giddiness overflowing 

but with a future unknowing 

I have untapped love locked within me 

you cannot fathom how I feel 

my palms sweaty in grease 

sweats from pores flow with ease 

I am young and this is my moment 

I care-less about unwanted comment 

my reality stares deep in my eyes 

ignoring my childishness and lies 

I may not know my fate 

but I’m blessed with undeserved grace 

the snares life have in-stock  

just to run my ego amok

my adrenaline pumps too much to make me worry 

I’m on transit just like a failed-break lorry 

I posses all the wiles in my life

free me and let me soar like a kite 

for the air is already conquered in my head 

let me take flight like the soul of the dead 

my dreams are valid to me alone 

taste and savor me like a new cologne 

I promise, there will never be another me 

I am a gift and the chosen key
