THE JOURNEY SO FAR

 

the endless road of all

overzealous flight in resistance 

reality dawns on our naivety 

we are what we truly are 

retrograde cancelled in acceleration 

slowly climbing slopes for sanity sake 

our tires are never tried in this conquest 

we remain focus despite defeat

we have come a long way 

ignoring cries and pains from labor 

staying focused still despite the fogs 

“eyes on the goal” our watchword 

we swerve upon obstacles 

adjusting our body temperature to nature 

We are never unfortunate, every design is a blessing 

the journey is far, but all eyes on the goal 

I have come this far 

relentlessly, unshaken and unwavering 

through thick and thin I proceeded 

my skin is now tougher than any hides
