why pester me all you spirits 

pulling me towards your divinity

relinquishing me with severe guilt 

I am still intact 

your wiles are not fully embedded 

your con means are not deeply rooted 

I fret not even in his presence 

I don’t belong to him

I didn’t sell my soul to the devil 

a plot twist to make me look vulnerable 

think of me not as your comrade 

I owe myself to the Almighty 

take flight and flee from my side 

this soul of mine is not yours for the taking 

I am not in your dark charade 

paradise is my humble abode
