SOAK UP THE SUN

my feelings always get the best of me

my words heavy for my mouth 

my heart weighty with emotions 

I barely know myself again

my sleep is endless I recall

my dreams distorted 

everytime I lie down to sleep

often I wish I never wake 

meaningless heartbreaks, my fragile self

I swim always on multiple sorrows 

I palpitate and love the rhythm nonetheless

I might snooze if my neck in the noose 

breathing always but see no essence

beating my chest, might rip my heart out

tell me what's worth it in this life 

dying days are better than birthdays

I just want to soak up the sun

want to drain the whole oceans 

plug all the stars off the sky at night 

their illumination blinds my sight
